One person was killed when a car collided with a propane truck Monday morning in Placer County, the California Highway Patrol said. According to CHP, around 6 a.m. a vehicle was traveling south on State Route 49 just south of Joerger Road when the driver lost control and traveled into the northbound lane.

A person died in a Monday morning car crash in the North Auburn of Placer County, the California Highway Patrol said. CHP was dispatched around 5:59 a.m. to Grass Valley Highway south of Joeger Road.

Northbound Highway 49 in north Auburn was closed Monday morning following a major injury wreck, the Placer County Sheriff’s Office said.
