For the first time in 2024, the Hawkeyes are on the road as they travel to Minneapolis to take on the Minnesota Golden Gophers in the kick off to Big Ten conference play. Both teams enter the day at 2-1 and untested in conference play.

Iowa has a place in Max Brosmer’s origin story. The transfer quarterback has firmly staked himself onto the Gophers’ side of the Floyd of Rosedale rivalry, but he was born in Davenport, Iowa — only 55 miles east to the Hawkeyes’ campus in Iowa City.

Quarterback Max Brosmer transferred to Minnesota for his final season of college football eligibility after an FCS All-America career at New Hampshire. He gives the Golden Gophers a passing threat they haven’t had for years.
