Declan Rice, Kai Havertz and Martin Odegaard scored goals as Arsenal cruised into the last 16 of the UEFA Champions League.

The perfect start came when Declan Rice slammed home after good work from Gabreil Martinelli on the left and Kai Havertz. It was the midfielder’s first goal in the competition and Arseanl’s earliest since 2014. In the second half, Havertz scored a header again after good work from from Martinelli before Martin Odegaard completed the victory.

Arsenal are back in Champions League action tonight as they host Dinamo Zagreb. Having amassed 13 points from their opening six games, the Gunners can qualify for the knockout round with victory at the Emirates Stadium. In fact, a win could be enough to secure a bye to the last-16 stage but that depends on results elsewhere.
