Air India has refunded the airfare to Anip Patel, an India-origin CEO, after he posted a viral video highlighting issues in the first class cabin during his Chicago-Delhi flight. Patel noted problems such as lack of WiFi and non-functional in-flight entertainment.

CHICAGO, IL – Air India has issued a full refund to Anip Patel, CEO of CaPatel Investments, after he shared a video on social media detailing his disappointing first-class experience. The Indian American businessman had taken a non-stop flight from New Delhi to Chicago and described it as his “worst” flying experience.

The video—which showed the cabin in a poor state with damaged interiors, dirty carpets, and broken in-flight entertainment system—clocked over eight million views on Instagram and caused embarrassment

Founder of CaPatel Investments, a Chicago-based venture capital firm, Anip Patel posted a video on his Instagram profile showing how his recent trip from Chicago to Delhi was impacted by the “worst first-class cabin.

In the video, Mr Patel gave viewers a tour of the subpar amenities, highlighting issues such as loose compartment parts, and torn and damaged surfaces.
