Steven Gerrard is set to leave his role as head coach of Saudi Arabian club Al Ettifaq. The 44-year-old had signed a new two-and-a-half-year deal at Al Ettifaq in January 2024 through to June 2027 but he is set to leave after one win in four matches since the season resumed following the winter break.

Former Liverpool and England midfielder Steven Gerrard has left his role as manager of Al-Ettifaq in Saudi Arabia after 18 months in charge. Al-Ettifaq says it was a mutual decision. In January, Gerrard signed an extension to his contract to stay at the team until 2027.
