Utah bill to end collective bargaining for public workers passes, heads to Cox
A bill banning collective bargaining for Utah’s public employees is now headed to Gov. Spencer Cox for his signature.
Utah lawmakers vote to ban unions from bargaining with government
The Utah Senate voted to pass HB267 which would ban public sector collective bargaining. Lawmakers worked with unions to make changes to the bill but when there was no consensus, decided to pass the original bill. An extensive debate included senators speaking out for, against the legislation.

Labor unions that serve teachers, firefighters, police and other public employees in Utah will no longer be able to negotiate on behalf of their workers under a bill that has received final legislative approval.
