One person was killed when a car collided with a propane truck Monday morning in Placer County, the California Highway Patrol said. According to CHP, around 6 a.m. a vehicle was traveling south on State Route 49 just south of Joerger Road when the driver lost control and traveled into the northbound lane.

Northbound Highway 49 in north Auburn was closed Monday morning following a major injury wreck, the Placer County Sheriff’s Office said.
