According to the East Moline Fire Department, a family of five was displaced after a fire started from cooking. The Red Cross is now assisting the family.

The Davenport School Board unanimously approved a contract with a bidder to build a new F.L. Smart Intermediate School. A move the district says will better help serve the needs of their students.
