The discovery was made Wednesday in a basement apartment on Kelly Street by marshals who were sent to deliver an eviction notice.

The Bronx needs more trees, according to borough leaders who say greenery is important for the health and wellness of residents. CBS News New York's Shosh Bedrosian has covered air quality concerns in the borough and has more from the South Bronx.

Local leaders and elected officials gathered on the Bronx waterfront in Mott Haven on Thursday, Sept. 19, to advocate for the planting of more trees in sections of the borough that currently lack adequate tree coverage.
