Storm chaser and aurora hunter Jake Stehli captured the northern lights dancing above southeastern Wisconsin, U.S. in a beautiful video. Conditions sparked by the CMEs became so strong Monday night that the SWPC issued a “severe geomagnetic storm alert” around 11 p.m. ET. According to the SWPC, the “major disturbance in Earth’s magnetic field” was expected to reach G4 strength.
