The National Football Foundation and the College Football Hall of Fame has named Strahan as one of three defensive linemen in the HOF Class of 2025, citing his time at Texas Southern University (1989-92). He is the program’s first player to be so feted – the Tigers already had retired his number 75.

Former Virginia Tech star Michael Vick and broadcaster Michael Strahan are also among the class of 18 players and four coaches.

Legendary Troy football coach Larry Blakeney has been elected to the College Football Hall of Fame for its 2025 class, it was announced Wednesday.

A year after retirement Nick Saban is headed to the College Football Hall of Fame as part of a class of 22 to be enshrined at a ceremony in Las Vegas in December. A seven-time national title winner, Saban retired from Alabama last January and was eligible for immediate induction in the Hall of Fame because he meets the age requirement (over 70).

Greg Eslinger, the two-time All-America center who won both the Outland and Rimington trophies for the Gophers in 2005, on Wednesday was named to the 2025 College Football Hall of Fame class. He is the 20th Gophers player to receive the honor.

Former Oregon Duck defensive lineman Haloti Ngata will be inducted into the College Football Hall of Fame this coming December. He becomes the seventh Oregon Duck to be in the hall.
