Washington also owns an 11-game point streak (8-0-3) as it prepares to take on the Kraken.

Alex Ovechkin scored his 875th career goal, an empty-netter with 3:28 remaining, as the streaking Washington Capitals defeated the host Seattle Kraken 3-0 on Thursday.

Jared McCann had a goal and two assists while John Hayden, Chandler Stephenson, Matty Beniers, Jamie Oleksiak and Adam Larsson also scored for Seattle. Ryker Evans tallied a pair of assists, and goalie Joey Daccord stopped 25 of 29 shots. The Sabres went 1-for-3 on the power play and killed one of two shorthanded situations.

Bjorkstrand and Burakovsky are signed ... his third-straight 20-goal season in Seattle. He’s been one of the most consistent middle-six players for the Kraken over that stretch scoring 53 ...

They erased the Sabres’ 2-0, first-intermission lead and notched their league-best sixth multi-goal comeback this season.
