Minnesota Wild President of Hockey Operations and General Manager Bill Guerin today announced the National Hockey League (NHL) club has acquired forward Gustav Nyquist (pronounced GOO-stahv NIGH-kwihst) from the Nashville Predators in exchange for a second-round selection in the 2026 NHL Draft.
The 2025 NHL trade deadline has come and gone. While there were significant trades going back to the fall, the “trade season” really kicked off in a big way in late January when the Colorado Avalanche shocked the hockey world by trading Mikko Rantanen to the Carolina Hurricanes.
