All-Star point guard De’Aaron Fox reportedly has a destination in mind if the Sacramento Kings trade him before the Feb. 6 deadline.

Bleacher Report and ESPN proposed a Lakers trade pitch that would send De'Aaron Fox to Los Angeles in exchange for a large haul.

The proposed trade would send De'Aaron Fox to the San Antonio Spurs while giving the Sacramento Kings the 'win-now' talent they want.

Fox can be a free agent in the summer of 2026 and his agent, Rich Paul, reportedly told the Kings it would "be wise" to trade him now.

Fox, who was an NBA All-Star and NBA Clutch Player of the Year in 2023, led the league in steals last season. According to ESPN’s Shams Charania, there will be “ plenty of suitors ” for his services if he does become available on the trade market.

On Tuesday, news broke that the Sacramento Kings are open to moving Fox before the NBA trade deadline and that he welcomes a potential change of scenery. Given that Fox's agent is Rich Paul, who has deep ties to the Lakers and represents LeBron James and Anthony Davis, L.A. was immediately suggested as a destination.

Past reports have the Spurs as favorites to land Fox. NBA insider Chris Haynes claimed the star guard prefers the Victor Wembanyama-led team. Moreover, the Spurs' asset pool is one of the deepest in the league, likely second only to the Oklahoma City Thunder 's treasure trove of future draft picks.

The Sacramento Kings have revealed their asking price for De'Aaron Fox in trade discussions as trade rumors heat up.

That’s because the Spurs — reportedly Fox’s preferred trade destination — currently have nine tradeable first-round picks that they can include in a deal to the Heat’s one tradeable first-round selection. San Antonio also has young talent such as Keldon Johnson, Devin Vassell and others who it can add to any trade package for Fox.
