A few days after Primus announced the abrupt departure of Tim Alexander, the band's longtime drummer has explained his exit.

Anderson would rejoin Primus for (presumably) the final time in 2013. Primus “plans on searching for the greatest drummer on earth” ahead of their 2025 tour with A Perfect Circle and Puscifer.

"My decision to leave the band was rooted in a deep need to prioritize my mental and physical health," he says.
