COLUMBUS, Ohio — Ohio State football will, again, be in a familiar TV slot for its Week 13 game against Indiana. The Buckeyes and Hoosiers will be part of Fox’s Big Noon Kickoff on Nov. 23. Kickoff will be at noon with the broadcast crew of Gus Johnson, Joel Klatt and Jenny Taft.

Ohio State football handled business in a 45-0 routing of Purdue, and Georgia’s loss to Ole Miss should send the Buckeyes up a spot.

Ohio State rose one spot and is now the second ranked team in the country in both the Associated Press poll and USA Today Coaches poll for Week 12. The Buckeyes only sit behind No. 1 Oregon, the lone team they have lost to.

Ohio State got its first shutout in Big Ten play since 2017 while holding Purdue to only 206 yards. Ohio State quarterback Will Howard completed 21 of 26 passes for 260 yards and three touchdowns and ran for another score in just over three quarters of play.

Will Howard threw three touchdown passes, Jeremiah Smith broke the Ohio State freshman receiving record, Caden Curry blocked a punt, and the Buckeyes held Purdue scoreless in a 45-0 win.

However Ohio State’s season plays out, Saturday’s 45-0 victory over Purdue will be barely remembered. Bad team comes to Columbus. Ohio State overwhelms bad team. Onto the next game. That it was the Buckeyes ’ first shutout of a Big Ten team since 2017 will be the only thing that distinguishes it.
