The Guerneville School in Guerneville will be closed Tuesday due to “severe weather,” according a Tuesday news release from the the Sonoma County Office of Education.

Due to the winter storm, some schools in southern Oregon are closed or having a delayed start on Monday. Grants Pass School District: Gladiola High School release at 2:45 p.m., GPFLEX and Grants Pass High School release at 3:09 p.m.

Hamilton and Corvallis school districts said they will remain closed through Wednesday, with an ongoing winter storm and dangerous road conditions.

Schools across New York and New Jersey are holding delayed openings on Monday after snow fell across the tri-state area. Most areas around New York City saw between less than an inch to just over an inch of snow,

Schools intend to reopen Thursday but were worried about travel conditions Wednesday under the threat of ice and snow.
