A popular furniture store is closing more than 300 locations nationwide, including one in Austin. The Ohio-based chain American Freight is shutting down 30 locations in Texas, including its lone Austin storefront in northwest Austin at The Shops at Anderson Arbor.

All of the stores, including four in South Florida in Hialeah, Medley, Fort Lauderdale and West Palm Beach, are offering closing sales in store and on its website. Markdowns of 30% on living room sets, bedroom furniture, dining tables, and scratch and dent and new in-box refrigerators, washers and dryers are included among sale items.

The closing down sale will run for a strictly limited time and goods will be sold off on a strictly ‘first come - first served’ basis, so shoppers in search of a great deal should waste no time in visiting the Pattens Furniture showroom on High Street, Wolstanton.
