Canada and Alaska will have the best chance of viewing the northern lights this evening, according to the NOAA. Other parts of the U.S., including Montana, North Dakota, and Minnesota, may also catch a glimpse of the aurora borealis, but chances are relatively low.

There's no doubt we've been treated to some remarkable aurora shows this year (the May superstorms and the recent strong activity in October spring to mind) but what if I told you this was only the beginning of some incredible northern lights activity?

Some areas in the northern U.S. will have an opportunity to see aurora borealis on Saturday night, as solar radiation could affect radio communications, according to a National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration forecast.
