IOWA CITY — Iowa men’s basketball put on one its most complete performances against high major competition of the season on Saturday. Iowa dominated Indiana 85-60 in a Big Ten clash.

The Indiana basketball team was blown out by Iowa on Saturday night. IU dropped to 13-4 and 4-2 in Big Ten play after an 85-60 defeat on the road. Myles Rice led the Hoosiers with 12 points and five assists.

No comebacks were needed for Iowa men’s basketball on Saturday night at Carver-Hawkeye Arena. Following a 15-point rally in its previous game against Nebraska, Iowa never trailed by more than four in a 85-60 rout against Indiana.

Indiana’s reserves brought the team back from a 23-13 deficit midway through the first half. The Hoosiers even took a brief lead after Bryson Tucker threw down a fastbreak dunk with 8:03 to go in the half that punctuated a 13-0 run.

As redshirt sophomore guard Myles Rice turned to an official and called timeout, Indiana men’s basketball’s huddle reflected the somberness fit for a 19-point second-half deficit. Across the halfcourt line, Iowa’s huddle appeared rejuvenated, instilled with life by a noisy, two-thirds full crowd.
