Deion Sanders and Jason Witten are two of Dallas Cowboys owner Jerry Jones’ former — and favorite — players, and both have been floated as potential replacements for coach Mike McCarthy.

Jerry Jones and the Dallas Cowboys are looking for their next coach. The biggest name in that search so far has been Deion Sanders, the Colorado Buffaloes coach who won a Super Bowl in Dallas back during his legendary playing days.

With Jones now spearheading the search for the Cowboys’ next head coach after Mike McCarthy’s departure, buzz continues to build around franchise great and Colorado Buffaloes coach Deion Sanders, who “would almost certainly accept” the top job in Dallas if offered by the 82-year-old owner, according to a new report.

The former Cowboys head coach also offered some words of advice to the next person stepping into the position.
