A Tiverton woman is dead following a single-vehicle crash on Lake Road. Tiverton police said that on Thursday officers and fire department personnel arrived at the area of 840 Lake Road at 9:53 p.m. and located a 2014 Subaru Impreza that left the road,

The sole occupant of the car was 52-year-old Jennifer Sylvia of Tiverton. Police said she was transported to Saint Anne’s Hospital in Fall River where she died. On Friday, NBC 10 spoke with Adrien Turcotte, who said he heard the crash and rushed to the scene to help. Turcotte said he opened the car door and tried to save Sylvia.

Melissa Grass is an organ donor and, Thursday night, received an honor walk before donating the gift of life through her organ donation.

Police believe speed may have been a factor in the crash.

Police responded to a deadly crash in Tiverton Thursday night. Several police cruisers were seen in the area of 840 Lake Road. Yellow police tape blocked off the area. Police found a 2014 Subaru Impreza had left the road and struck a tree and burst into flames.
