Forget whether or not the Dallas Mavericks should bring Anthony Davis back this season. The 32-year-old star, acquired in the still-mind-boggling Luka Donćić trade, is ramping up for a return, and he's "likely" to be back in the lineup at some point in the next week,

The Dallas Mavericks have been dealing with a heavy load of injuries for the last few months, causing them to fall down the Western Conference standings. One of those big injuries was Anthony Davis suffering an adductor strain in his debut with the team after the Luka Doncic trade on February 8th.

NBA insider Marc Stein reported that the Mavericks may now have a return date penciled on their schedule. Stein reported that Davis is in “increasingly strong contention” to take the floor for the team's upcoming road stretch among Eastern Conference teams.
