The first storm system was expected to hit the Valley on March 11, 2025, bringing an initial round of widespread rain showers.

A storm could move through the Chicago area Friday night bringing severe weather. Temperatures could reach the 70s during the day. Wind gusts could reach up to 50 mph Saturday with mostly sunny skies and temperatures in the 60s for the parade.

The Southern California storm is expected to arrive Wednesday and dump 1 to 2 inches of rain along the coast and up to 4 inches in the valleys at rates that could cause problems.

"This system is expected to be quite cold aloft which increases the chances of thunderstorms across the area, leading to an increased threat of flooding."

Back-to-back storms are expected to bring San Diego County rain clouds, gray skies and precipitation for much of the week.
