Over the weekend, an announcement that Japanese pitcher Roki Sasaki will be posted by his current team, the Chiba Lotte Marines to come to MLB in 2025, put a top pitcher out there that some team will get at a real bargain price.

The Chiba Lotte Marines of Nippon Professional Baseball announced over the weekend that they would “post” 23-year-old right-hander Roki Sasaki this fall, granting the next Japanese pitching phenom his desire to go to the major leagues.

In an off-season where hundreds of millions of dollars will be handed out, Roki Sasaki's addition to the free-agent class means that one of this winter's top signings won't be getting a nine-figure contract.
