As Jennifer Crumbley, the mother of the Oxford High School shooter, works to appeal her sentence, her attorney is demanding she be released from prison.

Jennifer Crumbley, the mom of Michigan high school shooter Ethan Crumbley, is asking to be released from prison on bond as her appeal moves through the courts.

Crumbley's attorney, Michael Deszi, filed a motion in the Oakland County Circuit Court on Thursday, arguing that Crumbley is not a "flight risk" and "poses no danger to the public."

Crumbley asked Dec. 2 that a judge throw out her involuntary manslaughter conviction or give her a chance at a new trial.

Crumbley was found guilty of four counts of involuntary manslaughter in February for her role in the school shooting committed by her son, Ethan Crumbley. Ethan pleaded guilty to the school shooting that killed four teens at Oxford High School in 2021.

Jennifer Crumbley's attorney told Court TV, 'We believe eventually some court in this process is going to throw this case out.'
