Days after Helene made landfall in Florida’s Big Bend region as a Category 4 hurricane, hundreds of thousands remain without power. At least 64 deaths have been confirmed as a result of the storm, at least a third of whom were killed by falling trees.

Helene, now a weakened post-tropical cyclone, left chaos and destruction across the Southeast. A damage estimate said the storm will cost billions.
