(Reuters) -Dating app operator Bumble said on Friday its founder and executive chair, Whitney Wolfe Herd, will become the chief executive of the company from mid-March after Lidiane Jones resigned as CEO.

Whitney Wolfe Herd, the founder of Bumble, will reclaim her role as CEO of the dating app company in mid-March. This transition follows the resignation of Lidiane Jones, who cited “personal reasons” for her departure.

Whitney Wolfe Herd founded dating and networking app Bumble Inc. in 2014 and led it as CEO for about a decade before stepping away from the role in early 2024. Little more than a year later, however, she's planning to return to her company as CEO in March.
