Portions of East Texas remain under a Winter Storm Warning until Friday at noon, while other areas are under a Winter Weather Advisory until that time. Snow, sleet, freezing rain, and cold, hard rain are falling upon East Texas today and tonight. Accumulation will occur especially across the northern East Texas counties.

School districts in the Dallas-Fort Worth area are closing their campuses Thursday and Friday ahead of the winter storms expected to hit the region.
