Hello Health Rounds Readers! Today we highlight research findings reported at ESMO 2024, the annual meeting of the European Society of Medical Oncology. Two studies have shown for the first time that breastfeeding after treatment for breast cancer does not increase a woman's recurrence risk.

Breastfeeding is feasible for patients with hormone receptor–positive breast cancer who are undergoing a break of endocrine therapy.

Data suggested that the hormonal changes associated with pregnancy and lactation should not discourage breastfeeding after breast cancer.
